Chocolate and much more in the three sweetest days in Alentejo!
Chef Chocolatier Daniel Gomes, author of “Glorius”, the most expensive bonbon in the world, comes to Grândola to share with event visitors his journey of excellence and his art. Daniel Gomes closes the Showcooking space on Sunday. A space of excellence at the Fair that will feature the participation of six more renowned chefs: Céu Carvalho, Paula Baluga Re Monteiro and the trio of Manuel Alexandre, Tony Salgado and Valdemar Onofre.
This year, the Fair features more than fifty sales exhibitors and always features chocolate as the main ingredient, taverns with regional dishes, street food and a comfortable and expanded leisure area. The wineries that are part of the AVPCA and the wine offer from the Pinheiro da Cruz Prison Establishment, which combine harmoniously with the chocolate-based delicacies, are one of the highlights of this edition. It also includes the participation of the Belgian brand Leonidas, one of the most renowned in the world of chocolates.
Master chocolatier Marlene Alexandre returns to Grândola with her art of working chocolate. Over the three days of the event, Marlene Alexandre and her team will sculpt the megaphone in chocolate – an image of the celebrations of the 50th anniversary of the 25th of April in Grândola by André carrilho.
The musical shows are performed by ROSINHA and BOCA DOCE.
ROSINHA, a name known to the public, takes the stage on the first night. The irreverent way in which she presents herself in public, combined with her high level of humility and sensitivity, means that she maintains an excellent and unique relationship of complicity with all her followers who cherish her so much. Whether in Portugal or abroad ROSINHA and her inseparable accordion are synonymous with joy, good mood and above all, lots of fun.
On Saturday, BOCA DOCE will perform, a musical group formed by current and former members of important bands on the Portuguese rock scene such as: Aside; Fiona At 40; Primitive Reason; Summer of Damien and Micky Eight. They star in a happy, lively, fun and good-natured show, during which Californian Rock/Punk-Rock versions of several renowned Portuguese artists parade, such as: Marco Paulo; Antonio Variações; Sweet; GNR; Adelaide Ferreira; José Cid and so many others!
Strengthening the itinerant entertainment program is another of the Municipality’s efforts. The street theater promises to capture the attention of visitors daily with the companies: Malatitsch, Água no Deserto, Estátua Viva and Uh!Topia. Circus and fire shows, the Caravana Installation – EZ Project and the “1 MILHÂO” Street Show – Enano complete the street entertainment that will be a constant during the opening hours of the Fair, which also includes the Creative Workshop with daily activities for visitors. newer ones, carousels and inflatables.
As in previous years, the Chocolate Fair program also includes “The Chocolate and São Martinho Gastronomic Weeks”. The gastronomic initiative will take place from November 1st to 11th in participating restaurants in the municipality.
