The Vidigueira City Council, in partnership with the Vila de Frades Parish Council and with the support of the Beja Athletics Association, will organize the Talha Wine Trail (5th edition of the Sto. António Chapel Hill Climb) on December 1st at 10 a.m., featuring a 12 km run and an 8 km walk.
It is a trail with medium/high difficulty, immersed in nature, offering a unique and stunning landscape through the vineyards, olive groves, and cork oak forests of the picturesque village of Vila de Frades. The route includes a passage through the hilltop of the Ermida de Sto. António, where you can enjoy magnificent views of the Alentejo scenery, the Roman Ruins of São Cucufate, and some renowned wineries.
At the end, participants will have the opportunity to enjoy our traditional gastronomy at the various local restaurants and savor the renowned talha wine at the typical wineries. Alternatively, they can register for the communal lunch held at the Luís Rosa Mendes Pavilion in Vila de Frades.
