Welcome to the Mercado Alentejano.

We are Filipe and Vanessa, the creators of Mercado Alentejano. Filipe was born in the Alentejo, and Vanessa was born in Lisbon but with a large part of her family in the Alentejo.
As fate would have it, we met and created our family.

The Mercado Alentejano is a long-held dream of Filipe’s. With an entrepreneurial spirit and a great love of the Alentejo, he was quick to convince me to create the Mercado Alentejano together.

We then decided that we had to create something different that would showcase the charms of the Alentejo. From unique flavors to captivating stories, our focus is on sharing the best that the Alentejo has to offer.
From now on, we’re going to support local producers, which is why we’ve selected small local producers with high-quality products to bring to our customers.
