Badoca Safari Park is a theme park located in Vila Nova de Santo André, in the municipality of Santiago do Cacém, in the district of Setúbal, which opened in 1999.
Covering an area of 90 hectares, the park has more than 600 animals, with a total of 80 different species.
It is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the Alentejo region, especially for those who love an African safari experience close to home. Where the main focus is to provide visitors with a safari experience, where it is possible to observe wild animals in an environment similar to their natural habitat.
Safari:
It takes place in adapted vehicles, allowing visitors to tour the areas where the animals live. Such as zebras, giraffes, buffaloes and wildebeest. It’s an excellent opportunity to see the animals up close and admire their wild beauty.

Interactive shows with birds of prey, where visitors can learn more about these species and see some flying demonstrations.
Presentation of the lemurs:
You can observe the skills of these animals that live most of the time in the trees. At the same time, an attendant feeds the ring-tailed lemurs and the red-bellied lemurs. Endangered primates from the island of Madagascar. At the same time, there is a warning about the destruction of Madagascar’s forest and the impact that human activities can have on the ecosystem.

Presentation of Reptiles:
A presentation where we learn more about: Turtles, Iguanas, Lizards, Snakes and other species. In this presentation we learn more about each of these species, such as the way they maintain their body temperature, how they manage to survive, among other curiosities.
Walking tour:
It is possible to come into contact with various species, in addition to those you will encounter during the safari. You can also learn more about the farm’s domestic animals, the tropical and African rainforest, and see meerkats, kangaroos and many others. You’ll find playgrounds with swings and slides, a wooden giraffe for the children’s amusement and backdrops for memorable photographs.
