The parish of Santo André is once again, for the tenth time, the stage for the “Santo André Lagoon Eel Festival – Gastronomy Show in Restaurants”, where visitors will be able to enjoy the best flavors of this magnificent delicacy, and the star of this Festival, which It is the Eel of the Santo André Lagoon.

Visitors will be challenged to appreciate and taste, during these 17 days of Festival (from January 24th to February 9th), the best and most delicious eel dishes prepared by those who do it in a unique way.

Gastronomy is now seen as a strategic product of gastronomic tourism and is a very present reality in the tourist dynamics that it creates around it, enhancing a location or region. This Festival seeks to cultivate the concept of gastronomic experience, facilitated by the excellence of local products and flavors, by cooking know-how, but also by the authenticity of Alentejo cuisine, fostering an impetus for the dynamism of the local economy.
