Qualifying for the FIA Bajas World Cup and for the main championships in Portugal under the auspices of FPAK and FMP, the 38th Baja Portalegre 500 promises another edition full of strong emotions for drivers, teams and the public. It will be between October 17th and 19th (Thursday to Saturday) that the main names in national off-road will join the international elite to discuss victory in one of the most famous bajas on the world calendar. The Automóvel Club de Portugal race will be the fifth round of the FIA Bajas World Cup, which starts in Saudi Arabia in February and also passes through Greece, Spain, Poland, Qatar and Dubai, before the final at the end of November, in Jordan.
Remember that, last year, João Ferreira achieved his second consecutive victory in the Portuguese race, with the MINI sailed by Filipe Palmeiro from Porto. On motorcycles, Bruno Santos (Husqvarna) debuted to win in Portalegre, the same happening with Hélder Rodrigues (Can-Am), who secured his first victory in the SSV category. João Vale (Can-Am) scored twice in the Quads and young Domingos Cunha (Yamaha) also won the Mini Baja race again.
In October, emotions are back in Alto Alentejo.
