The Festival do Crato is one of the most beloved festivals in the entire country. During a week the population of Crato increases with more than a thousand young people who go with “weapons and luggage” to the small village of Crato located in the district of Portalegre.

Before going to bigger festivals or bigger concerts, it can be said that young people from the district and nearby districts have an excellent experience of seeing large musical groups in a homely atmosphere at the Crato Festival.

The Festival do Crato is another family festival that mixes the sounds of musical groups from Alentejo with big international bands that dominate the Portuguese-speaking music scene.
