The Elvas Medieval Festival returns, from the 4th to the 7th of July, to the Historic Center of Elvas, with a program focused on recreating the experience of the Middle Ages.

The opening of this edition takes place on Thursday, starting at Rua da Cadeia, following the procession to Praça da República, accompanied by Christian and Arab musical groups.

The big highlight of this edition is the return of the horse riding tournaments, in Baluarte, which promise to remind us of times gone by.

As in previous years, the taverns are concentrated on Rua da Cadeia and Praça da República.

The program also includes street entertainment, falconry, dances, permanent entertainment with jesters, trampolines, jugglers, trapeze artists, archery, games, warrior training and camel rides, in addition to a daily entertainment program.
