Adega Cooperativa de Vidigueira, Cuba e Alvito is a cooperative of wine producers located in the Alentejo region. Founded in 1960, the winery has a long history of producing quality wines, taking advantage of the unique characteristics of the Alentejo to produce distinctive, award-winning wines.
The Alentejo region is known for its vast plains, hot, dry climate and soils rich in schist and limestone. These factors help to provide the ideal conditions for growing vines and producing high-quality wines.
Today, the Adega Cooperativa brings together local winemakers. In this way, they work together to obtain the best grapes and produce wines of excellent quality.
The Cooperative produces a wide variety of wines (red, white and rosé), using local and international varieties. The best-known red wines use the Trincadeira, Aragonez and Alicante Bouscht grape varieties. The whites use the Antão Vaz and Arinto grape varieties.
With a modern and innovative approach to the area, the cooperative combines traditional techniques with advanced technology in order to guarantee maximum quality and authenticity in the wines it produces.
In addition to wine production, the Adega Cooperativa also promotes wine tourism. It offers visitors the chance to visit its facilities, vineyards and learn more about the winemaking process. Visitors will also have the opportunity to taste the wines produced by the cooperative and discover the gastronomic richness of the Alentejo region.
Over the last few years, Adega Cooperativa has gained strong national and international recognition for the quality of the wines it produces.
