Salted pie

Today we’re sharing the recipe for Salted Pie.

We used cured sheep’s cheese from Queijaria Saianda, which you can find in Mercado Alentejano’s online store.

𝐈𝐧𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐬:

  • 1 puff pastry
  • 1 Sheep’s cheese
  • 1 onion
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • Olive oil to taste
  • 1 cup spinach
  • 4 Eggs
  • 1 cup of milk
  • Salt and pepper to taste

𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐚çã𝐨:
Start by chopping the onion and garlic cloves.

Sauté the onion and garlic in a frying pan.

Then add the spinach and cook for a few minutes.

Beat the eggs in a bowl and add the milk. Season with salt and pepper.

Place the puff pastry in a pie dish and make several holes in the pastry with a fork.

Then add the onion, garlic and spinach mixture.

Then add the cheese (you can grate it or cut it into pieces).

Finally, add the egg mixture and spread well. Bake at 180 degrees for about 30 minutes.

Serve with a side dish of your choice.
